Designed for mountain sports and via ferratas, the big advantage of these popular soft shell pants is the fabric. FLEX SHIELD DWR provides kinetic stretch wear comfort, amazing breathability and has a wind resistant and water repellent finish. Wear them once and you’ll take them on every subsequent hiking or trekking trip!

FLEX SHIELD DWR
Light weight, low pack volume, bi-stretch freedom of movement and maximum breathability – the perfect spring/summer/autumn soft shell material. Its tight weave provides good wind and weather protection (D.W.R. = Durable Water Repellent), while burls on the inside made of textured nylon provide some thermal retention and allow air circulation between fabric and skin.

Acrobat Cut
This particular fit allows for optimum freedom of movement. Ideal for outdoor sports like climbing and snowboarding.

ACROBAT CUT in jackets:

The section of the jacket where the sleeve meets the body is generously tailored to allow the arms to be raised above the head without the hem of the jacket riding up.

ACROBAT CUT in trousers:

An additional section of material (gusset) in the crotch area improves comfort and freedom of movement.

Active Fit
The ACTIVE FIT is part of the modular fit system for Jack Wolfskin pants. Our pants have different waist heights and cuts, which can be combined according to their designated activity profile.

The ACTIVE FIT is a body-hugging, narrow leg cut that is generally used with stretch fabrics. It was developed for mountain sports requiring plenty of freedom of movement, where excess fabric might prove a hindrance.

Adjustable Hem
The adjustable hook & loop hem on the trouser legs of our pants prevents wind or snow from getting in. It also stops you from getting snagged or tangled.

Articulated Knees
A detail on our trekking and weather protection trousers. The knee section is anatomically tailored to conform to the natural biomechanics of the leg, significantly improving freedom of movement.

High Waist
The HIGH WAIST is part of the modular fit system for Jack Wolfskin pants. The pants have different waist heights and cuts, which can be combined according to their designated activity profile.

With the HIGH WAIST the waist band sits just below the navel at the front and is raised at the back to cover the sensitive kidney area. This design offers the added protection and the freedom of movement required for alpine activities and is often found on our weatherproof and winter pants.

Leg Pocket
Depending on the model, the leg pockets are fitted with a volume fold (men’s trousers) or feature a more discreet design (women’s trousers).
