| | | | Overview The BARNY XT 30 has a full 30 litres of capacity, which makes it suitable for multi-day trips. It is also equipped with additional packing options: a generous outer pocket, a lid compartment and two mesh pockets on the sides. There is also plenty of space for your weatherproof clothing, spare clothing and provisions. The pack is fully prepped to accommodate an on-board hydration system and features trekking pole lashing options and a rain cover for when the weather turns mean.
All of the packs in the BARNY range combine a high, slimline pack design for excellent freedom of movement with our tried and tested ACS system for high levels of carry comfort and adaptive climate control. A special frame design facilitates the continuous lateral expulsion of warm air.

MATERIAL:
ARMATECH PLUS 600D The fine, dense weave of this material gives it extreme durability. Produced from 100% polyester, it is colourfast, highly UV-resistant, and will readily accept a durable waterproof coating. Employed as a base material in rucksacks, daypacks and accessories, it is woven from 600 Denier thread.
CROSS RIP 300D A very light polyamide fabric with a high tearstrength rating. We use it for our Trekking and Hiking rucksacks. The light-weight nylon fabric is inter-woven with ripstop reinforcement threads every few millimetres. If the fabric tears, the rip is stopped by the stronger threads, hence the name: ripstop. This type of construction saves weight and is very robust. We use different strengths (Denier) of CROSS RIP, depending on what a rucksack is used for: - CROSS RIP 300 D: 300 Denier fabric strength, reinforcement threads every 3 mm, used predominantly for Trekking and Hiking rucksacks - CROSS RIP 450 D: 450 Denier fabric strength, reinforcement threads every 4 mm, used predominantly for Trekking rucksacks.
SPRING STEEL Spring steel, i.e. particularly firm and at the same time flexible steel. We use it e.g. for back frames in our rucksacks.
TECHNOLOGY
Key Hook A plastic carabiner hook inside the main compartment or outer pocket of the rucksack for secure attachment of a key ring.
Prepared for HYDRATION SYSTEM This means the rucksack is compatible with commercial hydration systems. A flat format pouch on the inside the main compartment of the pack accepts a HYDRATION BLADDER. The pack also features an opening for the drinks tube and a clip attachment on the shoulder strap to fix the tube in position.
RAINCOVER Inside A special compartment, usually located at the base of the rucksack or photo pack.
It contains a waterproof PU-coated, sealed-seam rain cover in 210 D polyester. This can be pulled over the rucksack when required to provide effective protection from weather and dust without covering the carry system itself.
Suspension System ACS The ACS Carry system (ACS = Air Comfort System) is featured on our rucksacks designed for high octane activities. It ensures that the rucksack to close to the body while allowing excellent freedom of movement. The materials used are moisture and air permeable.
Trekkingpole Fixation A special attachment on the outside of the rucksack, used for the secure lashing of trekking poles. A width-adjustable loop secures the pole basket and the shaft is then flipped over and secured to the pack with a height-adjustable Velcro tape. | ![Overview]() |
