The Ladies’ Velez Adventure provides all the multi-activity features of the best-selling Velez Smock but comes with a FIXED roll-away hood, as requested by competition and race entrants where this feature is a requirement to guarantee protection in all weather conditions. Full Directional waterproof performance is combined with excellent ventilation via Páramo’s unique front twin zip design. Tailored for the female form.
Our View: Like the unisex Velez smock, the Ladies Velez adventure smock is a bit of a classic. The main difference between the unisex Velez smock is that the Adventure Velez comes in either mens or ladies sizes and colours, it has a fixed hood and a two tone colour scheme.
The fixed hood on the Velez Adventure smock makes it a little less fussy around the collar, making the Velez Adventure a little more suited towards walkers, climbers and mountaineers. Although the hood (like all the other Paramo waterproof jackets) poppers neatly into the collar of the jacket and makes little difference in this context. It's also worth mentioning that the two tone colour scheme for the Velez Adventure may be more appealing - especially the 'ladies' specific colours.
Alongside the short cut, the scooped tail works well for mountain bikers and cyclists (the tail also features a drawer chord to allow the user to pull it in tight when necessary). Two side zips allow easy access in and out of the jacket and allow ventilation when necessary. Along with the large chest pocket (which will fit an OS style map) on the inside, two smaller zips reveal a hidden handwarmer pocket.
In terms of the Ladies Velez Adventure smock, the shape of the jacket is also a little more fitted. If you have any doubts about the fit - please get in touch - we'll be happy to help you with the measurements.
