The Ladies Alta II Jacket is lighter in weight with less bulk than its predecessor. Increased ventillation via our 2 way reversed zip makes the new Alta II an ideal choice for all hill walkers looking to maintain an ideal comfort level without taking layers off.
Our View: A great all round jacket. Lighter to wear for year round use, a little shorter in length and with plenty of pockets, vents and features - a great investment for those looking for a flexible Paramo waterproof jacket.
The Paramo Alta II waterproof jacket is a firm favourite with us. It has a shorter cut (not too short thought), lots of pockets, a simple single zip system and arm vents - making it a great jacket for those looking to do a range of outdoor activities. Whilst the shell and liner of the jacket are the same as all the other Paramo waterproof jackets, the lighter feel comes from a shorter length and the absence of storm flaps over the zip. The jacket also has foam inserts in the back of the jacket (these enhance the breathability and ensure the consistent waterproof capabilities of the jacket whilst wearing a rucksack). As mentioned above, the jacket is a shorter cut with a scooped tail - not too short thought - the front hem should ideally fall just below the hips.
The fit is a little slimmer than other the classic Paramo walking jackets (the Paramo Alta I and Cascada jackets) and we'd always recommend you get in touch with us and we can go through the critical dimensions of the jacket if you have yet to try one on.
