If you are looking for a sleeping mat that gives you a little extra protection from the cold ground then the Exped SynMat UL Lite 5 is a great choice. Designed to offer comfort right down to 1 degree but still only weighing 380g (Mat) and packing down small enough to sit in your hand this is a great choice for cooler conditions.

Ideal for runners taking on multi-day events, cycle tourers and fast and light back packing when you want to get a good night’s sleep but you don’t want any extra weight.

Designed with a clever anti-slip “GripSkin” honeycomb-pattern coating the mat won’t be noisy at night and you won’t move around on it either. The enclosed mini pump adds an extra 45g to the total weight but it’s probably worth for a quick and easy inflation.
