Our View - Exped SynMat UL MW:

The Exped SynMat UL MW provides great protection against the cold ground all the way down to -3 degrees and it also comes with the really clever Schnozzel Pumpbag which allows you to inflate the mat instantly while preventing humidity from your breath affecting the insulation. It also doubles as an ultra-lightweight compression stuffsack.

The mat also features the Exped FlatValve Technology which sees separate inflation and deflation valves, both of which are non-protruding and more durable than traditional valves.

All of this for a mat that weighs just 565g (pump bag an additional 60g) and packs down to a really small size for easy carriage when you need to keep weight down. The ‘MW’ version provides extra width.
