The Leki Makalu AS is a strong, stable and supportive walking pole for all your walking needs! This anti-shock version of the Makalu utilises the Dynamic Suspension System which is a vibration-absorbing construction made of elastomer material. Claiming to reduces the impact force by approx. 40%, thereby relieving the musculature, joints, and tendons.
Equipped with the new Aergon Air handle which is the brands latest generation of grips providing maximum comfort and control. The hollow core technology combines lightweight construction with a large supportive surface that meet all the ergonomic requirements of your hand. The grip head is fully rubberized for maximum grip and control when going downhill. Optimal guidance of the pole helps the inclined angle and thus contributes to safety on the mountain.
The Lock Security Strap Skin 4.0 is an adjustable strap with safety release. It is ultra-light, highly breathable and offers ideal comfort. A grip extension down the poles shaft allows for simple grip adjustment on steep terrain or when traversing with adjusting overall pole length.
Made from strong, reliable aluminum and using a Speed Lock Plus adjustment system the Makalu AS is a trusty companion for long days out. The adjustment system works via an external clamping mechanism which allows for easy adjustments and offers maximum hold.
