Our View – Scarpa Crux Women:
The Scarpa Crux is designed around a classic approach shoe design with a precise fit and sticky sole for maximum efficiency and control on technical approaches and scrambles. The Crux is a hugely popular model in the Scarpa range and has a strong reputation.
Made from a traditional suede upper which ensures a close, secure fit the mesh tongue is low profile and the mesh material is highly breathable in hot weather. A full length lace allows a secure fit to be achieved.
Outsole wise the Crux benefits from a Vibram Megagrip outsole, which is the stickiest of all the Vibram rubber compounds and perfect for technical scrambling. The full rubber rand around the toe gives grip as well as protection and durability on tough terrain.
