Scott Kinabalu Supertrac Men:
Having tested the Scott Kinabalu shoes to the limit over the past year, we were excited to hear about the possibility of a new ‘grippy’ version of the shoe and we have not been disappointed. The Scott Kinabalu Supertrac Men addresses the one small weakness of the Kinabalu shoes – that is they need a grippy sole unit to suit wet, slippy and loose surfaces. This could be the perfect shoe…
Whilst the ‘Supertrac’ version is designed for extra grip, the Scott Kinabalu Supertrac Men is a great shoe for all conditions. There’s a great deal of grip from the new sole unit (it’s sticky, flexible and has great traction in mud and loose stuff) and also it’s still easy to live with on hard surfaces and packed trails. With this in place, the rest of the shoe is relatively unchanged from the standard Kinabalu format – that’s not a problem as we truly love the fit of these shoes, the room in the toe box and the grip around the heel.
The Scott Kinabalu Supertrac Men is also light – it’s noticeably light and agile – the upper has a good fit all around the foot and the rock plate in the sole unit eases discomfort over long distances and rocky paths. All in all this is a great shoe for longer distances and all conditions – it’s one of the most comfortable shoes we’ve tried…
