We're delighted to announce the arrival of our great new range of Vaude packs and child carriers- this well-respected German brand make high quality rucksacks for all imaginable uses and we've got the cream of them in stock now...
We've tried to cover all bases with the range. From technical alpine packs such as the Challenger (available in 35+10 or 45+10) to the lightweight Wallaby child carrier there should be something for everyone. Particular favourites among us staff so far are:
Mary: I like the the womens specific Vaude Optimator 28; the fit on narrower shoulders is really comfortable and it feels very stable when fully loaded. It's ideal for climbing as it is so well balanced. I LOVE the sangria/ red wine colour option- it looks great.
Dave: I really like the Vaude Triset series, particularly the Vaude Triset 25+4, as it provides everything I need for long day walks in the Yorkshire Dales. It's longer and narrower so feels stable, and is great for scrambling. It has lots of easily accessible space with 2 expandable side pockets as well as side mesh pockets, uses the very comfortable Aeroflex back system, and has storage for both walking poles and ice axes. The Trisets are designed by Vaude specifically for the UK so are really well suited for trekking in this country- great packs.
Ruth: My favourite is the Vaude Jolly Light child carrier- the lightweight version of the massively well-respected Vaude Jolly Comfort. They are well-thought out and designed, and the features which really stand out for me are the adjustable height seat- meaning the carrier grows with your child, the spacious storage compartment to transport all those essentials you need when out and about with little ones, and also the rain and sun protection and the changing mat- really clever. It feels really stable when loaded (with child!) and also has a lightweight and comfortable Aeroflex back system making it ideal for long walks.
