Our View – Meindl Ontario GTX Men:
With a whole host of technical features the Meindl Ontario is a really solid walking shoe that is equally capable as an everyday around town shoe. The Gore-tex membrane provides excellent waterproof protection while remaining breathable in warmer climates too.
The suede and mesh upper is stylish and surable and the extended toe bumper provides additional protection from rocks and roots on the trail. The lacing system is excellent with the Variofix retention system providing a secure hold around the ankle.
Grip is taken care of via the Meindl Magic Active sole which provides a nice level of traction on easy to moderate terrain and the laterally stiff sole unit means you will feel supported and comfortable all day.
