Firepot Foods was created in Dorset in 1917 by their founder who was prompted to develop his own expedition food due to the general lack of high quality ones available. His philosophy was to create products that reflected home cooked food for the wilderness.
They developed recipes enjoyed at home, tried them out on family and friends, tweaked the ingredients, flavours and methods to achieve a maximum balance of nutrition and taste.
They stick to their founding principles, keeping all chemicals and preservatives out of the kitchen. Never using palm oil, cooking with slow methods, often stewing dishes overnight. This allows the deeper flavours to expand.
