Our View – VJ Speedhiker:

The VJ Speedhiker is the brands venture into fast and light hiking and with the Speedhiker they have hit a seetspot between versatility, athleticism and protection. The Speedhiker’s design and the inclusion of the rockplate in the sole means the shoe offers stability and protection and can also handle longer distances in rocky and more technical terrain.

The VJ Speedhiker is built on the VJ Ultra 2’s sole and last that is shaped like a foot, which means along with the best grip on the planet, you will find the already familiar cushioning, responsiveness and the roomy toebox from this shoe as well. As does the Ultra 2, the Speedhiker features aggressive 4mm lugs on the outsole.

To increase comfort and combat the strain on the feet, we’ve built this shoe to be extremely light. The back of the shoe has been lowered, which allows your ankle to move freely and make those sharp twists and turns in the alternating terrain. The lowered backside also amplifies the “sport shoe feel”, so the only thing standing between you and speedy treks is yourself!

The shoe’s durable ripstop upper is made from 100% recycled material. Beneath the upper is our own dynamic Performadry waterproof membrane that ensures your feet to stay dry and comfortable.

The shoe features the innovative Fitlock system designed to improve the fit of the shoe, making it feel like part of your body. Integrated with the lacing, the Fitlock system tightens the shoe on the inside and under the arch of your foot while also protecting from hits from below.
