Our View – Lowa Maddox Pro GTX Mid Ws:

The women’s Maddox Pro Mid is a closer fitting lightweight boot that has a design focused on moving quickly. Built on the new LOWA Fast Hiking sole, the Maddox has a high level of underfoot cushioning and a bi-directional tread pattern for mixed terrain.

The new Maddox Pro GTX Mid Ws is a soft, lightweight boot, ideally suited to easy hillwalking and micro-adventures. High level of cushioning mixed with support for mixed terrain.

The support frame adds lateral stability without adding weight, giving additional foot protection. The upper is a mix of lightweight synthetic materials without the use of leather. A full Gore-Tex lining ensures the boot is waterproof.

• Gore-Tex - Highly breathable, durably waterproof lining material. Keeps feet pleasantly dry and offers optimised climate comfort for a broad range of outdoor activities.
• LOWA Rubber Sole - Conceived and developed by LOWA, the outsole is made from an optimised rubber compound, specifically designed to meet the footwear's intended use.
• Double Injection - Comfort and cushioning is further improved for specific uses with a complex injection-moulding process using various layers of PU-foam padding that are poured into a mould. During the process, the sole and upper are bonded together.
• DynaPU - A special polyurethane (PU) foam material in the midsole, that retains its restoring force even when it’s pressed together thousands of times. As a result, the finished boots will maintain their exceptional cushioning properties even after you have walked many 100s of miles in them.
• Support Frame - The LOWA Monowrap support frame provides a three-dimensional cradle, to guide and support the foot over uneven surfaces. Made of PU, the Support frame offers excellent lightweight support.
• Flexible - The midsole supports the foot's natural rolling properties, with a little rigidity coming from the footwear.
• Woman Last - Women's specific last, designed with the anatomy of women's feet in mind, with a differently shaped instep and area around the ball of the foot.
