Our View – Meindl Baltimore Lady GTX Walking Boot:

The Women’s Meindl Baltimore Lady GTX Walking Boot is a welcome new addition to the Meindl Light Hiker range of boots. The Baltimore GTX is a grade A/B boot, which is suitable for use on paths and trails throughout the UK & Ireland.

The leather upper provides good protection and is soft and supple. The Derby-cut lacing system means that the boots can be unlaced well down to the toe accommodating different foot shapes. The sole gives excellent underfoot support and comfort, which is enhanced by the EVA shock absorbing mid sole.

• Care Advice - Sportwax is a natural product formulated to condition and proof leather. Apply it with a sponge or cloth and don’t forget the tongues of the boots. Rub the wax in well. There’s no need to heat it, as this could reduce boot breathability. Waxing changes the appearance of the leather, making it smoother and darker. Applying a little to the hooks and eyelets also protects them against corrosion.
• Conditioning and proofing spray keeps nubuck leather and suede protected. The boots can be treated when the uppers aren’t quite dry – it ensures they’ll remain supple. Applying a little wax to the hooks and eyelets will protect them from corrosion
