The new Leki Makalu FX Carbon AS Compact is a premium folding trekking pole pair built for hikers who want a compact pack size with added joint protection on long descents. It combines a lightweight Carbon (PRC 1000) upper construction with a durable Aluminium (HTS 6.5) lower section, plus Leki’s Dynamic Suspension System (DSS) to help reduce impact forces on firmer ground.

Designed around the Aergon Air grip for confident control on steep terrain, it uses the ELD folding system for quick deployment and Speed Lock 2 Plus for secure length adjustment across 100–120 cm—ideal for smaller users, shorter stride setups, and travel-focused trekking where packability matters.
